Yunus expressed profound gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rubio for their effective mediation. He reiterated Bangladesh’s unwavering support for resolving disputes between the two neighboring countries through diplomacy.
India-Pakistan Confirm Ceasefire
After days of relentless cross-border attacks, India and Pakistan have mutually agreed to a ceasefire, with both nations confirming the development. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated, “Pakistan has consistently worked for peace and security in the region, but we have never compromised on our sovereignty or integrity.”
India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri verified the agreement, stating that on Saturday afternoon, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations contacted his Indian counterpart, resulting in a formal understanding.
