Bhutan’s Newly Appointed Ambassador Meets Chief Adviser


Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has urged Bhutan to fully utilize Bangladesh’s infrastructural facilities. He emphasized that Bhutan can make the most of the available infrastructure in Bangladesh and highlighted the vast potential for expanding cooperation between the two nations.

On Wednesday (July 9), Bhutan’s newly appointed Ambassador, Dasho Karma Haimu Dorji, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Adviser at the state guesthouse Yamuna, where these remarks were made.

During the meeting, Ambassador Dorji conveyed the greetings of Bhutan’s Prime Minister to the Chief Adviser.

Highlighting the long-standing and cordial bilateral relations, Ambassador Dorji noted that Bangladesh’s cooperation in medical education and the establishment of Bhutan’s Special Economic Zone is highly valuable to Bhutan. He expressed Bhutan’s desire to work more closely with Bangladesh. The Chief Adviser stressed the importance of fostering closer ties between the people of the two countries, emphasizing cultural exchanges through youth visits to each other’s nations.
The Chief Adviser also reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment to upholding and advancing the spirit of SAARC. He welcomed the newly appointed ambassador and expressed optimism that bilateral relations would strengthen further during his tenure.
