A new agreement between the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) is set to elevate the strategic relationship between the two nations to a new dimension, according to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He made these remarks to journalists at Xi’an Airport in China on Friday (June 27) while returning from a visit.
Led by Mirza Fakhrul, the high-level BNP delegation visited an exemplary community in the suburbs of Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. The community committee’s secretary warmly welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed explanation of their initiatives, including healthcare, volunteer work, rehabilitation for the disabled, and educational programs. The delegation also toured an affiliated museum, which showcases China’s revolutionary and independence history for children.
At Xi’an Airport, senior officials, including the Director General of the CPC’s International Department, formally bid farewell to the BNP delegation. Mirza Fakhrul stated, “This visit and the new agreement between BNP and CPC will strengthen the strategic ties between Bangladesh and China, bringing mutual benefits for the people of both nations.”
The BNP delegation is scheduled to arrive at Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport at 9:40 PM on Friday. They will be welcomed by the acting ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
