Girls Outshine Boys in GPA-5 Achievement in SSC Exams

 

In this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, female students have outperformed their male counterparts in securing GPA-5. A total of 139,032 students achieved GPA-5 this year. Female students surpassed male students by 3.79 percentage points in the overall pass rate across all education boards, with 8,200 more girls earning GPA-5 compared to boys. On Thursday (July 10), the results were simultaneously announced by the Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh Education Boards, along with the Bangladesh Madrassa Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. No formal ceremonies were held for the result announcement, as is customary. However, a discussion session took place at the Dhaka Education Board’s meeting room, where Professor Dr. Khandaker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and the Dhaka Education Board, addressed the gathering.
