Dhaka, June 27, 2025: Today, a protest rally and march were organized by the Dhaka North and South units of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram to condemn Israeli aggression in Muslim territories. Held from 1:45 PM to 2:20 PM, the event saw participation from approximately 200-250 people. The rally was presided over by Maulana Anwar Hossain Raji, President of the Dhaka North unit. The chief guest was Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmed, Central Secretary-General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis. Other notable attendees included Maulana Ataullah Amin, Central Joint Secretary-General, and Maulana Hedayetullah Hadi, Organizational Secretary, along with other leaders.
In their speeches, the speakers emphasized that Bangladeshi Muslims have always stood by Palestine. They strongly condemned Israeli aggression and expressed readiness to take up arms against any nation that oppresses Muslims. They stated, “Israel has pleaded with Iran to halt the war. As Muslims, we will be compelled to take up arms against any country that acts against Muslims.” The speakers also demanded compensation for the families of martyrs from the 2013 Shapla Chattar incident and called for bringing those associated with fascism to justice. They stressed the need for Islamic forces to unite in the upcoming elections to ensure a collective voting strategy.
Following the rally, a procession started from the north gate of Baitul Mukarram, passed through Purana Paltan intersection, and peacefully concluded at the water tank in Bijoynagar.
