Dhaka, May 5, 2025 : The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) conducted mobile court operations in Tejkunipara and Diyabari, collecting fines totaling Tk 10.5 lakh and seizing 15 electric meters for violations of building construction regulations.
In Tejkunipara, under RAJUK’s Zone 5/1, a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Belayet Hossain inspected nine under-construction buildings. Four electric meters were seized, and deviations from RAJUK’s approved designs were removed from seven buildings. The court imposed fines of Tk 1.5 lakh on the building owners for breaching the Building Construction Rules. The operation was supported by Authorized Officer Md. Hasanuzzaman, Assistant Authorized Officer, Chief Building Inspector, and other inspectors.
In a separate operation in Diyabari’s Sonargaon Janapath, under RAJUK’s Zone 1/1, Executive Magistrate Liton Sarker led a mobile court inspecting ten under-construction buildings. The court disconnected electricity to ten buildings, seized 11 meters, and removed non-compliant structures. Fines amounting to Tk 9 lakh were imposed on the owners. Additionally, building owners submitted undertakings on Tk 300 judicial stamps, pledging not to deviate from approved designs. The operation included Authorized Officer Md. Abil Ayam, Assistant Authorized Officer, Chief Building Inspector, and other inspectors.
RAJUK continues its efforts to enforce compliance with construction regulations in the capital.
